Description of Classes
~ Classes for ages 3-Adult ~
Ballet/Creative Movement Combination (ages 3-5)Students will learn basic ballet skills including following directions, body awareness, counting, coordination, and basic discipline. They will also explore movement through different kinds of music while stimulating their imagination and creativity.
Ballet (ages 3-15)
The technical foundation of all dance forms. This class helps develop the posture, grace, flexibility, and strength needed in all forms of dance. Highly recommended for all dance students.
Lyrical (ages 8-15)
This style of dance combines the technical elements of classical ballet with the freedom, fluidity, and expressive aspects of jazz and modern. Ballet class is also required.
Jazz (ages 5-15)
This fun high energy style of dance matches rhythm, technique, and soulful expression to various types of music. Ballet class is also strongly recommended.
Hip Hop (ages 5-15)
An urban American dance form that combine movements and rhythms of various dance styles such as jazz, break dance, pop lock, and street dance.
Leaps, Turns & Jumps
Students will work strictly on executing various leaps, turns, and jumps. Ballet class is also required.
Line Dance (ages 18+)
Learn various urban style line dances which are done to mostly R&B and pop music. They are choreographed dances with a repeated sequence of steps in which a group of people dance in one or more lines or rows all facing the same direction, and executing the steps at the same time. No experience or partner necessary.
Zumba (ages 18+)
A Colombian dance fitness program that involves dance and aerobic elements. Zumba’s choreography incorporates soca, samba, salsa, merengue, hip hop and more.
