Our mission is to encourage dancers to express themselves, ignite their imagination, and bring out their creativity through the art of dance. We will provide quality instruction to dancers of all ages and skill levels while promoting a positive, motivating, and friendly atmosphere.
Makaia Gatson, Owner/Instructor
Ms. Makaia is the Owner and Director of Graceful Soles Dance Studio, as well as an instructor. She has been dancing and performing since the age of seven. Her dance training includes ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and African. Her love for teaching dance, especially children, started over twelve years ago. Her teaching experience includes working with children of all ages in a performing arts school, preschools, private dance studios, after school programs, recreation centers, summer camps, and churches. She also enjoys teaching adult dance classes. Her education includes a B.S. degree in Business Administration, and three summer intensives at Dance Masters of America Teacher Training Program in Buffalo, NY.
Lauren Wetzel, Instructor
Ms. Lauren has been dancing since the age of three. She has studied ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, and modern dance. At age 17, Lauren was a member of the semi-professional dance group, Force of Rhythm, where she performed at local festivals and Six Flags Over Texas. She trained at Broadway Dance Center summer intensive in New York City under the direction of choreographer, Doug Caldwell, as well as at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy summer intensive. She has both her bachelors and masters degree in social work. Lauren loves working with children and sharing her love of dance through both performing and teaching.
